Candidate Profile

EXPERIENCE
- Someone with scheduling, financial modelling or purchasing experience preferably wet stock. - or someone who is looking to get into this line of work within the downstream petroleum sector.
TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
· To assist in maintaining and ordering adequate fuel supply for all company owned service stations under the Supply Agreements with numerous oil companies. · Help in forecasting supply and demand to minimise any overstocking and any running out of stock. Ensuring that location receives the right orders and in a timely manner. · Assist in placing orders to replenish stock as needed. · Keep records of orders placed and advise relevant locations and managers of such orders. · Assist in the smooth transition of new sites into the network. · To assist in maximising fuel margins at all company owned service stations. · To assist in ensuring that locations are updated of any price changes that need to be implemented. · Ensuring that price changes are implemented as quickly and as accurately as possible, making sure that company databases are updated of such changes at the same time. · Checking receipt of purchase invoices to ensure prices charged are in line with quotations provided by the various suppliers. · Provide input to Management Accounts – e.g. month end stock, cash flow. · Sales / Margin analysis as and when required. · Use software to monitor demands and characteristics of inventory and sales. Help utilize IT to optimize procedures. · Build professional relationship with suppliers, service stations & managers. Respond to queries in a timely and accurate manner, via phone, email or chat. · Any ad hoc tasks required by senior management as and when required.

Trainee / WetstockAnalyst working within the Fuel Supply Department at Ascona’s Head Office. Fulltime position Monday - Friday. Salary negotiable depending on industry sectorexperience. Will consider Apprenticeship Candidates as full training will begiven.

Reporting to; FuelSupply Manager

Job PurposeSummary; To assist in maintaining appropriate fuel stocks, to monitor and maximisefuels margins and to maintain accurate records of stock purchased and sold.
