We are recruiting for a Chef in our new Forge restaurant which we have taken over, The Forge has a great reputation and we strive to keepthis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef to put their stamp on an old classic.

Applicants should have experience in hospitality and food catering.

What would my main responsibilities be as a chef at the forge restaurant?

  • Cook and prepare food
  • Helping lead the restaurant team
  • Adhere to budgets and management directions
  • follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards
  • Restock items as needed and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
  • Ensure the kitchen runs efficiently by supporting the team and showing great leadership including coaching other members of the forge team to ensure they perform at their best and contribute to the smooth running of the restaurant.
  • monitor fridge and food temps are correct to food hygiene standards
  • Food hygiene paperwork
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen at all times
  • Liaising with Area Managers and Management of Ascona Group.
  • Stock control - including stock rotation and ordering
